Clinical studies on 35 cases of patient with frozen shoulder by doˇng-shi｀(董氏) acupuncture treatment.

Abstract
|
|
|
Thirty-five cases of the patient suffering from frozen shoulder were treated and observed clinically from July, 1997 to October, 1997 in the Dept. of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, College of Oriental Medicine, Taejon University, Taejon, Korea. The results were obtained as follows.
1. The distribution of sex in the frozen shoulder group was male 15 cases(42.9%), female 20 cases(57.1%) and the distribution of age was fifty 19 cases(54.3%) the most.
2. The distribution of the physical examination all of the patient were showed positive action in the test 3 of Apley scratch test, the test 2 of Apley sctatch test was showed positive action by 17 cases(48.5%).
3. The distribution of the period before admission in descending order : one month under three months was 14 cases(14.0%) the most, under one mouth 10 cases the second, three months under six months 8 cases(22.9%) the next.
4. The distribution of treatment duration in descending order : three weeks under five weeks was the most number in 16 cases(45.7%).
5. The effect of treatment was above the fair result 22 cases(62.9%).
